Sven Karlsson is a professor of high performance computer systems at DTU Compute, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He received a PhD from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, in 2004. His research interests are in programming models, architectures, operating systems, and system software for parallel computers. He has more than 60 publications in these fields. Sven has been involved in the development of several hardware and software systems that have been commercially exploited. More recently, he has become interested in quantum computing and how it can be integrated with high performance computers. He was a research leader and line manager at Ericsson, where he led work on machine learning and cellular communication.
