Dr Roland Roller is a researcher and project manager in the language technology group at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). He studied Computer Science in Trier and Saarland University and completed his PhD at the University of Sheffield. His research interests are in the field of natural language processing and machine learning with a particular focus on the biomedical domain. Currently, he is working on information extraction and clinical decision support in the context of kidney disease within the two research projects MACSS (Medical Allround-Care Service Solutions) and BigMedilytics (Big Data for Medical Analytics).
