Drs. Rob Smeets is Director Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) at the Philips Medical Office. In 2006 Rob joined Philips, where he was responsible for building European R&D networks and managing Philips’ participation in the European Framework programs. Since 2023 Rob is head of Philips’ EuroPartners group, responsible for managing Philips’ European PPP engagements.

Rob’s expertise is in medical technology and digitization of healthcare. In his role of Director Public-Private Partnerships, he represents Philips in European industry associations like Digital Europe and BDVA, the Big Data Value Association, of which Rob is a Board member. Finally, Rob is a regular speaker or panelist in several conferences on digital health.
