Dr Rafael del Hoyo Alonso leads the Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Systems and Big Data research line at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón (ITA). His work focuses on developing AI technologies and transferring them to industry, encompassing machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision and multi-agent systems. He contributes to European research and innovation projects applying AI to Earth observation, environmental monitoring, industrial processes and decision support. He is a member of the Technical Board of the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), contributing to European collaboration on data and AI, and teaches Intelligent Systems and Neural Networks and Deep Learning at Universidad San Jorge.
