Mr. McCarthy is a senior advisor for AI, Big Data, IoT, Cloud and Network Transformation with Carrier and Enterprise customers and partners in Europe, USA, India and Brazil. Pat has over 25 years’ experience in product management, marketing and R&D leadership roles at Huawei, Ericsson, Telcordia, ADC Billing Systems, Nortel, IBM and Apple.

Since joining Huawei in 2014, he supported the establishment of the Ireland Research Center with a leadership role supporting our Network Cloud Joint Innovation Centers and the EMEA intro to Autonomous Driving Networks. More recently, he has led a startup in Ireland of a Big Data Lab focused on AI driven Data Governance.

He is a member of the Science Foundation Ireland Center for Data Analytics Governance Board and Industry Advisory Committee, one of the largest AI and Data research centers in Europe and holds a Master of Computer Science in Distributed Systems from Trinity College (Dublin) and B.Eng Electronics (Limerick, Ireland).
