Prof. Noel E. O’Connor is Full Professor in the School of Electronic Engineering at Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland, and Director of Rinn Artificial Intelligence, one of seven centres launched through Research Ireland’s enhanced national research network. Backed by €121.7 million in government investment, Rinn AI brings together 15 Research Performing Organisations and over 288 co-applicants and PIs. From 2019 to 2026, Noel was CEO of the Insight Centre for Data Analytics. His research focuses on multimodal content analysis, with applications in autonomous vehicles, environmental monitoring, health and human performance, medical imaging, multimedia retrieval, and security and safety.
