Marta González
Data Scientist at Inova Labs

Marta is a mathematician (USC, 2006) working as a data scientist at Inova Labs. Marta has 12 years of scientific experience in astrophysics within the Spanish Research Council at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (IAA-CSIC), where she worked until March 2018. She started her scientific career modelling thermophysical processes in cometary nuclei (PhD thesis, UGR 2013) and since became engaged in other research areas, such as electric atmospheric phenomena and star clusters. Within this last project, Marta developed an algorithm to detect kinematical structure within star clusters, taking her first steps in data analysis. Her interest in the subject was piqued, leading her to further learning and training (now taking an MSc in Visual Analytics and Big Data at UNIR), and ultimately to her career path change.
