Professor Markus Helfert is Professor for Digital Service Innovation at Maynooth University, Ireland, where he researches digital transformation, data governance, artificial intelligence and organisational innovation. He is Director of the Innovation Value Institute, a research center focued on Digital Transformation and AI. He is Co-PI of the Research Ireland-funded RINN-AI Centre, focusing on responsible and trustworthy AI. Markus also coordinates the EU-funded ENTRUST project on data governance and sharing in agri-food systems. His research explores how organisations can create value from data and emerging technologies while addressing governance, trust, sustainability and societal impact. He has extensive experience in European research and innovation projects and works closely with academic, public-sector and industry partners to translate research into practical approaches for digital and organisational transformation.
