Maria Christina Bienek
General Manager at Smart Electronic Factory e.V.

Maria Christina Bienek completed her professional training in 1995 with a degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing and industrial engineering. After working as a consultant, she founded her own company based on the technologies of the World Wide Web and digital photography. After selling the company, she was responsible for the company’s Industry 4.0 projects and activities at iTAC Software AG, a leading MES (Manufacturing Execution System) provider, from 2014-2018.
In 2015 the “SEF Smart Electronic Factory e.V.”, an Industry 4.0 association, which operates a research and development platform for Industry 4.0 solutions in a real factory, was founded. Maria Christina Bienek has accompanied the association since it was founded and is now managing director. This initiative is attracting great attention in politics and business, which is reflected in numerous political cooperations (Platform Industry 4.0, LNI 4.0, etc.) and the strong growth in membership.
In 2018, Maria Christina Bienek took part in the founding of IoTOS GmbH, a company founded by well-known Industry 4.0 experts, and, as Business Development Manager, promoted the placement and publicity of the IIoT solutions and services from IoTOS in the market. The solutions from IoTOS support companies with digitization along the entire supply chain: from the product idea to development and production through the entire supply chain to delivery to the end customer and connection in the field.
This startup was taken over by the Friedhelm Loh Group at the end of 2019 and integrated into the corporate consortium of the Group’s IoT software department.
