Ph.D. Luís Rosado is a Senior Scientist at Fraunhofer Portugal Research Center for Assistive Information and Communication Solutions (AICOS). He received a M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering (2009) from Instituto Superior Técnico of the Technical University of Lisbon, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (2018) from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. Since 2011, he has been a researcher at AICOS, specializing in computer vision and machine learning. During this period, he has been applying these competencies to develop solutions for the areas of Health and Auditing, namely developing computer-aided diagnosis and automated visual inspection systems for different industry segments. At the moment, he is actively working on the development of computer vision and artificial intelligence solutions for different contexts, namely in the areas of health, viticulture, and the automotive sector. Current areas of interest include Data-centric Machine Learning, Generative AI, Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), and Industrial Visual Inspection.
