Katrina Petersen is Research Manager at Trilateral Research. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Science Studies from the University of California, San Diego. Her research examines social, cultural, and ethical impacts of disaster information technologies and the governance of emerging technologies that bring together environmental, hazard, and human data to communicate risk. She engages methods that explore how data-driven tools influence collaborative practices as well as techniques to transform this knowledge into better interdisciplinary and cross-border information sharing and policies. At Trilateral, she oversees and acts as ethics advisor in a range of multi-national research and innovation projects.
