Juan Jose Moreno-Navarro
Professor at Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM)

Juan Jose Moreno-Navarro holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) in 1989. Since 1996 is Full Professor at the Computer Science Department at the UPM. He is also senior researcher at IMDEA-Software (Madrid Research Institute in Software Development Technologies). He has carried out extensive scientific work with more than 150 publications in conferences, books and journals of great international relevance, has leaded several national and international cooperation research projects and has organized, been a member of editorial and program committees, and given conferences and Invited talks at numerous conferences and journals in the area of software development, scientific, university and development policies for the information society, innovation and entrepreneurship. His doctoral thesis was largely developed in Germany, and he has been a professor and guest lecturer at the universities of Pisa (Italy), Monash (Australia), RWTH Aachen (Germany), Instituto Politécnico Nacional (Mexico), Federico Santamaría (Chile) among others. He has been General Director of University Policy (Ministry of Education, 2009-2012), and General Director of Planning and Coordination (Ministry of Science and Innovation, 2008-2009), president of the Spanish Society of Software Engineering and curator of the Turing Year / Year of Information Technology 2012. He has also been vice-rector of Information Systems and Communication and Academic Planning and Doctorate at the UPM.
