M.Sc. degree in Telecommunications engineering specialized in communications and telematics. In the beginning of his career at Orange Labs, Joan performed research work in various telecommunication fields such as machine learning in LTE Networks, Software Defined Networks and IoT. Currently, at Fundación Valenciaport, he is involved in R&D+i projects in the area of ICT applied to maritime transport, ports and logistics. Lately, he is involved in projects about modernization of port processes using Internet of Things, Big data and Artificial Intelligence.
