Irvette Tempelman studied law at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and is specialised in Privacy, IP and IT law. After having taught at the University of  Leiden and being a lawyer, she is currently working for the Dutch Confederation of Industries and employers and the Royal Dutch Association of Small and Medium-sized enterprises. She is responsible for Privacy, Consumer Policy and Regulation of Digitalisation. One of the current files she is working on is the European proposal for an AI Act. The learning approach regarding AI is one of the main themes, with a particular focus on Regulatory Sandboxes.
