Habtamu Abie, PhD, is Chief Research Scientist at the Norwegian Computing Center. He has held roles at CERN, ABB, Nera‑AS, Alcatel, and Telenor R&D, and leads IT‑OT integration efforts at SFI NORCICS and NESIOT. Dr. Abie coordinates major national and EU projects and the ECSCI Cluster. His research spans adaptive security, AI‑driven cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection and resilience, IoT, 5G+, and digital twins. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of AAIA and AIIA, and ranked among the top 0.5% of scholars worldwide.
