Senior Researcher at Engineering

Senior Researcher at Researcher at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A., he got his Master Degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Palermo in April 2006. After his first experience at CNR – Italian National Research Council, he started to work at Engineering R&D Laboratory in 2009. In Engineering, he has been involved in several Italian and European research projects carrying out different technical activities related to software design and development. In particular, he was involved in: SynchroniCity H2020 IoT Large-Scale Pilot project for smart cities (aiming to foster a common digital single market for IoT-enabled urban services with standardized interfaces and common information models in order boost the development in different fields, among which mobility), and in SNAP EIT Digital-Digital Cities 2019 project (aiming to foster the exchange of multi-modal transport data for transition to National Access Points). Currently, he is involved in the URBANITE (decision support systems for efficient mobility) and URBANAGE (urban digital twins) projects (both as WP leader) and in the TAILOR project (establishing a scientific network on the Foundations of Trustworthy AI and defining a strategic roadmap for its development).
