Dr. Ir. Georgia Apostolou received her BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in Greece and her PhD degree in Industrial Design Engineering department of the Technical University of Delft (TU Delft) in The Netherlands, with a focus on the Photovoltaics. After that, she continued as a postdoctoral researcher at the Twente University (UTwente) in Enschede, The Netherlands, and since 2021 she has been a PostDoc researcher at the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas at Information Technologies Institute, in Thessaloniki, Greece. Her research interests involve smart manufacturing, artificial intelligence, IoT, smart grids, alternative sources of energy, and user interaction with products and services. Currently, she is working on multiple EU-funded projects with a main focus on smart manufacturing, AI, and robotics.
