George has had a focus on digital health for almost 20 years – leading a wide-ranging scope national and global innovation that has integrated data, software and AI. Before joining Medtronic in 2018, George served as Vice President of Product and Marketing at Touch Surgery. Prior to this, George was Managing Director of Dr Foster, a leading healthcare data science, analytics and software firm – providing solutions to global healthcare organisations and governments. Dr Foster was acquired by Telstra Health – Australia’s largest digital health company.

In 2015, George was part of the founding team of the eMBED Health Consortium, a major ($100m+) healthcare support collaborative, providing services to over 50 healthcare organisations in the UK. He has worked in digital technology roles in the NHS within primary care, as well as the General Medical Council. Outside of healthcare, George spent time in the education technology sector, including supporting worldwide management education initiatives.

His Ph.D is from Lancaster University in the UK. He has played 100s of gigs, as a drummer, and remains optimistic that a rock and roll career is just around the corner.
