Dr. Fabian Temme is data scientist at the research team of RapidMiner. He studied Physics at the Technical University of Dortmund (TU Dortmund). He optained his diploma degree in 2011 and continued working at the chair of astroparticle physics as a research assistance. In his PhD thesis he applied machine learning methods on data of the astroparticle physics telescope FACT. His analysis included not only the application of the machine learning methods, but also preprocessing of the raw time series data of the sensors. After his successful completion of his PhD thesis in 2016 he joined the R&D team of RapidMiner as a data scientist. He participated in the German project FEE working on use cases about anomaly detection and predictive maintenance in the chemical process industry and in the EU project PRESED, working on quality prediction in the steel industry. He is currently involved in the German project DaPro and the EU project INFORE.
