
As VP Innovation & Architecture, Dr. Christoph F. Strnadl is responsible for Software AG’s overall technology strategy and also for setting up and operating Software AG’s open innovation and co-innovation processes and facilities — all of which supported by an explicit enterprise architecture approach. In addition to that, he has also been serving as Technical Lead of Software AG’s Global Blockchain initiative since 2017.
He has been with Software AG for 15 years holding various positions at the intersection of technology and client needs as Chief IT Architect and CTO for Central & Eastern Europe and he recently also spear-headed a global improvement program of Software AG’s IoT Center of Excellence as VP Global Industry Solutions Architecture.
Dr. Strnadl has been educated as a research scientist in Theoretical Physics at the Technical University Vienna (Austria). He possesses almost 30 years of broad experience in the area of information and communications technologies and their integration, 10 years of which in various management and leadership positions at (then) Atos Origin. Based on his extensive and successful consulting experience, he has also invented and published original consulting approaches and methods, e.g., the IT Driver Model, an investment appraisal method for medium-sized enterprises and the process-driven architecture model. He is a recognized speaker at various public events with over 250 appearances, university lecturer on BPM Technologies, Vice President of the European Association of Business Process Management (EABPM), Senior Member IEEE, and co-author of two books, the (German and French) BPM CBOK for the domain BPM technologies (2014) and the (German) legal work “Contract Templates for IT Outsourcing” (2019).
