Carlos Garcia has a background in Industrial Engineering. He took early interest in Artificial Intelligence, later achieving a PhD in the field. He is currently the Head of AI Strategy at the Irish Manufacturing Research center, where he leads the center’s AI strategy to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of Irish manufacturing companies. He has participated in many European research projects starting with the FP6 programme. Currently he is also a member of the SMART Eureka cluster on Advanced Manufacturing.
