Axel Kießling has been serving as Senior Principal Digital & Organizational Transformation at TenneT since January 2026. He is responsible for building strategic partnerships and innovation ecosystems that connect industry, research institutions, and associations with TenneT’s innovation and transformation activities. Previously, he served as Head of Strategy & Partnerships – Digital and Flexibility Development, where he focused on flexibility solutions, digital innovation, and cross-sector collaboration in the energy industry.

After completing an apprenticeship in banking and earning a degree in Business Administration, Axel joined the former E.ON Netz in 2002. He subsequently held positions as Team Manager Market Concepts Renewable Energy, Manager Digital Transformation – Germany, and Head of Strategy & Partnerships before taking on his current role.
