Dr. Antonella Galizia is a researcher at IMATI-CNR and is associated at CIMA Foundation. Antonella was visiting CMRE-NATO, CESGA (Supercomputing Centre of Galicia), and LMU (Ludwig Maximilian Universitat – Munich). Her interests and expertise are in the fields of parallel and distributed computing for the effective and efficient exploitation of advanced computing systems to improve the quality of software for advanced applications. In particular, she investigates hydrometeorological and bioinformatics applications. Antonella has participated in different EU-funded projects aimed to promote and use e-Infrastructures within the hydro-meteorological research community in Europe and US; she gained deep knowledge on specific applications, data processing models, and methodologies for meteorological data, the development of e-Science portals, and on the exploitation of the majors European computing Infrastructure ecosystems as well as of heterogeneous parallel architectures
