The convergence of Data and AI is revolutionising the creation and experience of Virtual Worlds. Data serves as the foundation for these worlds while AI enables real-time adaptation, making these environments not only visually compelling but also highly responsive to user interactions.

This workshop at EBDVF 2024, organised by the OPENVERSE consortium, will explore the role of AI and data in the development of human-centric, ethical, and sustainable Virtual Worlds, aligning with the EU’s strategic vision for Web 4.0. Also, focusing on the challenges encountered.

Participants will discuss key challenges such as data protection, privacy, and the need for interoperability and open standards. The event aims to foster collaboration among policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers, contributing to the broader European strategy for digital transformation

This event is a unique platform for sharing insights and shaping the future of Virtual Worlds in alignment with the broader goals of the OPENVERSE project.
