In this talk we will discuss how NLP, text mining and knowledge graphs can be combined in the context of applications related to Health, and more specifically in the analysis of scientific literature. We will show how these challenges are tackled in Drugs4COVID, where we are creating an open knowledge graph that associates drugs and their components with symptoms and diseases, based on the large-scale analysis of the vast amount of scientific literature around coronaviruses that has been made available in international initiatives, including CORD-19 and the European COVID-19 data portal. We will discuss on the techniques used for the generation of the knowledge graph and the challenges ahead.
