Copernicus is the EU flagship Earth Observation programme with an estimated archive size of 40000 TB of open data by the end of 2022 and growing. Yet, to reach its full potential, it is crucial to bring it forward to all professional communities and especially the ICT community, engaging, in particular, the AI and Big Data stakeholders.
The Copernicus session at the European Big Data Value Forum will explore opportunities and challenges to fully exploit Copernicus data archives for large scale AI applications, shaping a beneficial framework to build the bridge between Earth Observation communities and AI/Big Data stakeholder groups.
