Telecom as the Transformative Enabler for Innovation and Value Creation
Every time, when new mobile bandwidth has emerged there has been a paradigm shift in its usage. In the first round, it was about connecting people all over the world to make it possible to talk to almost whomever where ever – not only a theoretical possibility, but practical as the prizes of phone calls plummeted all over the world and let to clear increases in gross domestic product. In the next phase and next price point, mobile data entered the game. With flat free data, the mobile handset use propagated from calls to consuming and sharing data, music, videos, movies and social media platforms. New value was created, as mobile bandwidth increased and the price of transmitting data decimated. Now, 5G, sets a new point of reference, in efficiency, security, latency, and of course with price that will make possible the next innovation round, industrial IoT, smart, AI driven, infrastructures and the efficient venue to distribute the new oil industrial age – the data. Our session will step you on the technologies and opportunities of the future telecommunication systems.
