The session will report on research on data markets and data spaces. In the EU, data processing comes with rules like GDPR, but also constraints stemming from business imperatives. The session will introduce into the issues when sharing or monetizing data. It will then report from advances made during the research in the area, exemplified by use cases like Intelligent Connected Vehicles. A possible architecture for interoperability and data management for data markets and data spaces will be presented. This includes advances in policy management, protection techniques, and also standardisation of linked data to overcome interoperability issues.
