What are the National Competence Centers (NCCs) and how they can bridge the gap between cutting-edge HPC technologies and their practical applications in various scientific and industrial domains?

This session will help understand the role of NCCs, and demonstrate the impact of HPC through four distinct use cases that highlight the versatility and power of supercomputing in solving complex problems. With the use cases ranging from numerical simulations of the temparature distribution in 3D printing, fine-tuning Large Language Models for the production of an expert-finding platform, modernisation and expansion of the air quality monitoring system and integration of Big Data and HPC to revolutionise nefrology research and treatment, we will aim to show the versatility and usefulnes of HPC. Join us to gain a deeper understanding of how NCCs are shaping the future and driving innovation across diverse sectors through real-world applications.
