From Vision to Reality: Lessons Learned in Data Sharing, Interoperability and AI Across Sectors
Join the five Horizon Europe sister projects, DS2, NOUS, CyclOps, CEDAR, and PLIADES, at EBDVF 2026 for an interactive session exploring the practical lessons learned from working with Data Spaces across different sectors and application domains.
Building on the foundational frameworks established in the 2024 joint session, this workshop shifts the focus from conceptual approaches towards lessons learned while addressing data sharing, interoperability and AI challenges in different sectors and in the context of the emerging European Data Spaces ecosystem.
Through concrete use cases, implementation experiences and technical approaches, the projects will discuss what worked, what proved more challenging than expected and what are the remaining challenges (at different levels) that still require further work across the wider Data Spaces ecosystem. Among them, the session will also explore how emerging policy and regulatory frameworks, including the Data Act, AI Act and Data Spaces-related initiatives (including the Data Spaces Support Centre which will also participate in the session), are influencing project developments and future priorities.
The session will provide a unique opportunity to compare experiences across multiple sectors, identify common patterns, and discuss which priorities should guide future research, standardisation and policy initiatives supporting the European Data Strategy.
