From Agrifood Data Spaces to Real Business Value
Recent discussions across the European ecosystem show a growing consensus that the next challenge is no longer only about building architectures and technical frameworks, but about creating sustainable business value, real adoption, and operational impact for farmers, SME, industry, research, and public actors.
This session will bring together actors from agrifood data spaces, AI deployment initiatives, industry, startups, scale-ups, farmer organisations, financial actors, and research organisations to discuss how Europe can move from fragmented pilots and technology-driven discussions towards customer-oriented, economically sustainable, and operational digital ecosystems.
Particular attention will be given to:
- Real deployment experiences and business adoption;
- The perspective of startups and scale-ups;
- Access to data, testing infrastructures, for customers;
- Examples of sustainable business models on top of European AI and data ecosystems.
The session aims to stimulate discussion around a key question:
“How do we move from building data spaces towards creating real business value and measurable impact in agrifood?”
Organised by BDVA’s TF Agrifood, the session will also provide an opportunity to introduce the key messages and early insights emerging from the TF Agrifood Position Paper. This introductory perspective will frame the discussion, linking the ongoing work of the task force to the session’s focus on deployment, value creation, and impact, and setting the basis for a deeper exploration of concrete use cases and operational experiences.
