Machine Learning (ML) is being increasingly used in many Big Data analytics applications while HPC is crucial for their computing power and storage capacity needs. Therefore, the convergence of ML and HPC becomes necessary to address the big data challenges in science and industry. The realization of this goal requires a concerted effort between AI, HPC and application domain experts.
The H2020 Evolve project undertakes this mission with a strong consortium to realize a ML implementation with an efficient and flexible framework and powered by a spectrum of computing accelerators in a HPC ecosystem. Several applications will be presented in this session to illustrate the adequacy of this work.
