Designing Data Spaces
The concept of data spaces has gained quite remarkable attention after European Data Strategy was published. A lot of time and effort is now invested in delineating sectoral data spaces and architectures that could be used in implementation of those data space infrastructures. These developments have reached the point where pilots and test environments can teach us how to do design of data spaces, for example if data space design is different from information systems design, and if it is, in which way.
This workshop intends to reflect upon the developments and seek for systematic approaches for designing data spaces from design principles to actual activities of design. Data space design includes socio-technical aspects, as well as business goals, in addition to requirements of e.g. trust, privacy, data veracity.
