Data Spaces and Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity plays a pivotal role in upholding data sovereignty and trust, which are foundational pillars in the successful deployment and scaling of data spaces. It is through the adoption of effective cybersecurity practices and technologies that data can be protected from a spectrum of threats, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and, thus, cultivating a reliable environment for data transactions. This is particularly critical as it fosters synergies within the ever more interlinked data ecosystems.
This one-hour introductory session aims to bring together the Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC) and representatives from the Cybersecurity and data protection communities. The overarching objective is to initiate a dialogue, concentrating on the challenges and opportunities inherent in this intersection and identifying key areas for more comprehensive future discussions and collaborations between the Data Spaces and Cybersecurity communities.
