Big Data-driven Impact and Value through Entrepreneurship
The objective of the workshop is to start a pragmatic discussion about the gap between the industry demand and the technical/entrepreneurial skills needed, particularly in the data field.
TOP-IX, leveraging and blending its several past experiences (that includes high-level training, startup involvement and challenges by corporates), proposes a new hybrid model that includes synergically the data training with job placement and challenge-based hackathon-like models.
After an introduction by TOP-IX, the session will continue with an international panel discussing and comparing European realities and best practices. This is an opportunity for the guests and participants to debate the possible solutions, relevant activities, potential partnerships, and scaling strategies from a local to an European/international level.
Ultimately the session aims to:
- validate the problem on markets other than the Italian one and identify reference experiences in progress or being planned
- brainstorm possible solutions and identify potential stakeholders and partners by imagining a multi-country implementation
- reflect on how to frame the designed solution(s) in a project to be proposed to the European Commission
