Public Administrations face increasingly complex and urgent socio-economic problems in their line of work. Using big data and data-informed decision making can help to provide transparency and trust to your citizens on decision making. To achieve this goal, the right digital tools and technologies are needed.
During this session we will first explore current data-related challenges for public administrations on the topics of mobility, environment & finance. Then, we will present BDTI and what it offers. Lastly we will walk through an example, to show how the platform works and how it can concretely help public administrations overcome their challenges. BDTI, the Big Data Test Infrastructure is the ready-to-use and free platform offered by the European Commission and funded by the Digital Europe programme. It helps public administrations develop and make use (and re-use) of data, to achieve data-informed decision making.
