ABOUT EBDVF 2021
The 2021 edition took place from the 29th of November to the 3rd of December. This year we had a “hybrid”: the event was held both, in person and online. EBDVF 2021 was an associated event of Slovenian EU Presidency.
EBDVF 2021 theme was “Digital Transformation powered by Data and AI”. The event brought together industry professionals, business developers, researchers and policy-makers from all over Europe and other regions of the world to advance policy actions, and industrial and research activities in the areas of Data and AI. We approached the theme from the sectorial and cross-sectorial angle. The programme tracks were structured to cover strategic aspects of technological challenges and impact, discussing the topics of adoption of industrial and trustworthy AI, Data Spaces, Data-Driven business models, standardisation, societal impacts and many others.
Celebrating the Slovenian EU Presidency, part of the event it was hosted in Ljubljana. The event was organised in collaboration with DIH Slovenia, ICT Association of Slovenia (Chamber of Commerce and Industry Slovenia), Jožef Stefan Institute (JSI) and the University of Ljubljana. The central day in Ljubljana had keynotes delivered by high-level political and industry representatives sharing their views on data and data-driven AI-related policy developments. All the EBDVF 2021 sessions were streamed online.
The EBDVF has a 5-year history result of merging in 2017 the EDF (European Data Forum) and the BDVA Summit. The event gathers yearly 600 to 2000 attendees. You can find information about the previous years editions (Versailles in 2017, Vienna in 2018, Helsinki in 2019 and Berlin-online in 2020) The success of the European Big Data Value Forum has been built with a vibrant community and strong collaborations. As every year, we are looking forward to the insightful sessions, visionary speakers, enthusiastic discussions and fruitful new partnerships!
